My name is Kristen McKinnon, and I am excited to introduce myself as a candidate for Ward 5 Regional Councillor. As a proud South Oshawa resident, mom, caregiver, and community advocate, I believe in practical and fiscally responsible leadership that keeps our community affordable, connected, and welcoming.
My priorities include dignified housing, reliable public transit, strong local businesses, and better supports for residents and families at every stage of life. Most importantly, I believe the best decisions come from listening to and working alongside my community, and that is precisely why I am out door knocking right now!
I believe strong neighbourhoods are built through connection, trust, and community involvement. I will be a visible and approachable voice for South Oshawa residents.
I think local government should be easier to navigate, more transparent, and more responsive to residents.
I support innovative solutions, smart growth, and fresh ideas that prepare South Oshawa for the future.
